Our happy flock of chickens roam pastures not far out of Woodford, Queensland, alongside a menagerie of dogs, ducks, cattle, horses, sheep and our chief of livestock protection, Mannie the donkey. Driven by a passion for caring for the environment and living in a more mindful sustainable manner, we’ve long sought ways to improve and regenerate our property in a more natural way without the use of chemicals.
We apply organic and biodynamic applications and continue to learn and apply permaculture principles to managing our land. The same goes for how we live and eat, and every day down this path reveals successes, failures, many learnings, and plenty of fulfilment. The term regenerative farming really calls to us as we search for farming methods that enable the restorative capacity of the earth, thereby creating productive food systems with small impact on the environment.
We’re so excited to have commenced our adventure into egg production, and to produce a product that really stands by our ethics. The hens roam at 900 birds per hectare and are fed organic grain. Mobile pastured free range egg farming enables us to continue to improve our pastures whilst also producing a product that does the best by its consumers.
